Moat Pensions Limited provides a fully comprehensive, professional independent trustee service. Established in 1991, we are currently appointed to more than 20 pension schemes operating throughout the UK.
The directors of the company, Iain Talman, June Crombie and Colin Greig are all solicitors and partners of the legal firm Biggart Baillie LLP. Iain, June and Colin are all accredited by The Law Society of Scotland as specialists in pensions law. Together, they have over seventy years of experience in pensions law and practice.

We provide trustee services to a wide variety of schemes of all sizes, whether ongoing, closed to new members and/or to future accrual of benefits or winding up, defined benefit, defined contribution and hybrid.

Where there are conflicts of interest, Moat Pensions can act along with co-trustees or as sole trustee.

The Moat Pensions team has extensive analytical skills as well as a strong track record in working through issues and dealing with them in a pragmatic, non-confrontational way, including negotiating with employers and The Pensions Regulator.

The team can evaluate documentation, deeds, appointments and work with advisers such as actuaries, investment managers and investment advisers. In addition, their legal skills and experience as advisers enables them to focus on the key issues. As trustee, these skills and experience mean that Moat Pensions Limited know what is required from advisers.
