The Biggart Baillie team represents a wide range of clients in negligence claims across many areas.
Our clients come from a variety of professional services, including accountants, architects, surveyors amongst others. The lead partner within the team is Alison Grant, who is instructed in particular by Insurers to represent Scottish Solicitors under the Law Society of Scotland Master Policy.
We believe in a no nonsense approach to the resolution of claims. Whether acting for Insurers or individuals and corporate organisations, we strive to achieve speedy resolution of claims, provide sound and early advice, and handle claims in a proactive and positive manner.
Mediation is a very effective way of resolving disputes between professionals in a process that seeks to optimise the settlement. Both Alison Grant and David Kidd are very active in this area and both are accredited Commercial Mediators.
Risk management has an important part to play for all professionals and Alison in particular, regularly gives presentations and workshops sessions on this topic.
Both Alison and Elena Fry also have experience in advising professionals on what to expect when they get to Court.
