Creative Industries
The Creative Industries sector is alive, well and flourishing in Scotland. This sector, which covers everything from games, new media, film and music right through to advertising, publishing and the traditional creative industries. Indeed, Scotland is believed to have the largest share of creative industries in the UK, outside of London and the South East. Typically, each firm has less than 10 employees.
Statistics from Scottish Enterprise reveal that around 100,000 Scots work in this sector, generate revenues of £5b and contribute around 4% to the Scottish economy.
