Paul has an extensive track record in general commercial litigation but has worked exclusively in employment law since 1994, both in Tribunal and Courts and in advisory work for organisations of all types and sizes. Paul joined Biggart Baillie in 2000 to head up the Employment Team.
Paul’s work includes assisting our Corporate Department on the employment related issues of various business deals, particularly TUPE and he has developed an expertise in that area. He also works closely with clients on all HR aspects of their business including drafting contracts, staff manuals and policies for managing the people aspect of the business.
Paul acts for a variety of businesses across many sectors including public sector bodies, PLCs, SMEs, start-ups and entrepreneurial businesses as they grow.
Paul has been appointed by the Law Society of Scotland as an Accredited Specialist in Employment Law. Paul is a member of the Law Society of Scotland Committee on Employment Law.
Independent research by Chambers 2010 comments that Paul wins special recommendation for tailoring advice to clients' commercial and business needs.
