Elena is an experienced civil litigator and represents clients in the Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland as well as the Court of Session. She is accredited as a specialist in personal injury law by The Law Society of Scotland.
Elena represents clients facing health & safety and insurance based issues, accident/injury claims, Fatal Accident Inquiries and HSE Prosecutions. She handles a range of employer’s liability, occupiers’ liability, public liability, and road traffic claims and works with the self insured as well as a range of insurers, brokers, claims handlers, and large and small organisations alike.
She has considerable experience of industrial disease cases including asbestos, HAVS, deafness, occupational asthma, and dermatitis.
Elena also represents the public sector and has many years of experience representing local authorities. She has particular expertise in the transport and utilities sectors. Elena also represents clients facing product liability and property damage claims.
Her broad experience allows Elena to assist clients with compliance issues.
Elena is also a general commercial litigator with a keen interest in medical negligence.
She is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) and the Health and Safety Lawyers Association.
