With 25 years experience in reparation, David has built an enviable track record in health & safety issues as well as defenders accident litigation actions in the Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland and the Court of Session.
Since joining Biggart Baillie in 1991, David's work has involved representing the interests of various industry sectors from small businesses to local authorities and public utilities.
David's broad experience in general commercial matters enables him to provide practical advice to clients. He provides specific advice on all aspects of health & safety in contentious and non-contentious issues, as well as representing clients in health & safety prosecutions. In addition, he has considerable experience defending Employers Liability accident/personal injury claims as well as asbestos, HAVS, deafness, occupational eye cataracts, occupational asthma and dermatitis. David also represents clients' interests in Fatal Accident Inquiries and deals with claims involving Public liability, Occupiers liability, as well as Road Traffic claims and prosecutions.
David is a recent past Scottish Chairman of the UK Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL).
Independent research by Chambers 2010 comments on David impresses commentators with his "extensive knowledge of personal injury law in Scotland."
