Craig is a solicitor within the Intellectual Property and Technology Group at Biggart Baillie and advises on all aspects of intellectual property law. Uniquely within the firm, Craig works on both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters. His work load sees him regularly advise on such matters as trade marks; copyright; branding; patents; know how; database rights and design rights. Craig also has experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts including software licenses; agency agreements; distribution agreements; and franchise agreements.
Craig regularly deals with intellectual property disputes, including taking matters through the court process when necessary. Craig has appeared for clients in intellectual property disputes in the Sheriff Court, including passing-off, trade mark and franchise disputes. In addition, Craig also assists in high value patent infringement cases in the Court of Session in Edinburgh.
