Carron is a solicitor in the Public & Administrative Law team within the Dispute Management department.
Carron deals with both Court of Session and Sheriff Court actions, and also has experience in litigating in the UK Supreme Court, having been involved in the first Scottish non-devolved civil case to be heard by that court.
Carron acts for various local authorities and public bodies, including SCRA and the Principal Reporter, as well as private companies and individuals. She has experience of working in a variety of areas of public and administrative law, including various Judicial Review cases and appeals from lower courts and tribunals. She also has an interest and experience in advising on human rights and Scottish devolution issues, and in particular, on issues arising in connection with Child Law.
She advises clients on a wide range of matters, from the statutory duties of public sector clients, to obligations and rights stemming from contractual disputes, and assisting clients to recover outstanding sums due and defend actions for payment in debt recovery litigation. In doing so, she addresses the accompanying array of client concerns and considerations including public perception and budgetary restrictions.
