Bobby joined the Health & Safety and Insurance team as a solicitor in 2008.  He specialises in all aspects of health & safety, employers’ liability, occupiers’ liability, public liability, road traffic and personal injury cases on behalf of insurance clients, companies and private individuals. He has gained a broad depth of experience in both the Sheriff Courts and the Court of Session, regularly appearing in Court. He has experience of dealing with high volumes of cases for insurance clients, providing them with management case information as and when required.

In addition to this, Bobby has experience in defending high value industrial disease claims/catastrophic injury claims including asbestos, deafness and HAVS. He has also represented clients in respect of Fatal Accident Inquiries and has successfully defended health & safety prosecutions against a range of corporate clients.  He has represented clients from a variety of sectors including construction, transport, retail, utilities and manufacturing to name a few.

His work includes both pro-active advice to companies in all aspects of health and safety practices to implement and enhance prevention methods and re-active representation, which includes initial investigation work, precognosing witnesses, representation at formal interviews with HSE Inspectors / police officers, advising directors’ in respect of their personal liabilities and representation at Court.  
Recently, Bobby has assisted in successfully defending a case against a major insurer, setting a precedent benefiting the insurance industry as a whole.

In his spare time, Bobby enjoys all types of sporting activities including football, golf, running and swimming. He is a keen skier and has skied in the French Alps in the past few years.
