Summer Placements
We have now completed our recruitment for summer placements during 2008.
Biggart Baillie runs a four week summer placement programme in July and September each year. The aim of this program is to allow law students to experience the working environment of a law firm before embarking on the traineeship process. Applications for summer placements are invited from law students in their third year of a four year LLB, or in their first year of a fast track postgraduate LLB.
The placements last for a period of four weeks. Students have the opportunity to spend two weeks in two of our five main departments: Commercial Property, Corporate, Dispute Management, Private Client and Infrastructure, Environment and Transport. Summer placements can be based in either our Glasgow or Edinburgh offices.
Previous students have said that it was an enjoyable experience as well as an excellent opportunity to see what life is really like as a legal trainee. The summer placement programme is about getting real hands on experience and not about doing all the photocopying and administration. Summer students get a real idea of what life will be like as a trainee at Biggart Baillie.
