Steven is an associate in our Dispute Management Department. He regularly represents clients in Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland and has a wealth of experience of Court of Session litigation. He regularly advises on a wide range of civil court matters and has particular expertise in insolvency, property disputes and pensions litigation. Steven also has experience of cross-border and multi-jurisdictional disputes and is a valued member of the firm's Corporate Recovery team, Debt Recovery team and Property Dispute Management Unit.
Steven provides proactive commercial advice to clients so as to secure the speedy resolution of business related disputes wherever possible. While that may include court action, Steven also has extensive experience of alternative dispute resolution procedures, from the more formal arbitrations or multi-party mediations to less formal commercial settlement through correspondence. He has recently been involved in the JJB Sports CVA, The Officers Club and Kwik Save stores insolvencies, and acts for the remaining Beanscene group companies.
Steven is a fluent French speaker and is a Director of the Franco-Scottish Business Club.
