Jennifer has been with Biggart Baillie since 1998. Jennifer principally acts for local authority clients and other public bodies in Judicial Review proceedings, appeals against the decisions of various courts, tribunals and administrative bodies and public enquiries. Jennifer advises her public sector clients on the operation of their statutory functions and fulfilment of their statutory obligations. She also has a specialism in child protection law, advising and acting for the Principal Reporter (SCRA) in appeals to the Court of Session and Sheriffs Principal.
Jennifer also provides employment law advice to clients on matters including issues arising from disciplinary and grievance procedures, disability and other discrimination legislation, TUPE, redundancies and trade union relations.
Jennifer works closely with her clients to ensure a thorough understanding of their issues and requirements allowing delivery of a tailored service. She gives practical, common sense advice and takes a "no nonsense" approach to negotiations.
