Carolyn is an Associate within the firm’s dispute management team and is based in the Glasgow office. Prior to a career in law, Carolyn studied accountancy at Glasgow University and practised as an accountant for several years.
For several years, Carolyn has specialised in contentious commercial property matters. She has considerable experience in advocacy having conducted many cases in Sheriff Courts across the country, as well as dealing with Lands Tribunal disputes. Carolyn works closely with the firm’s commercial property department, advising on a wide variety of contentious aspects which arise on a daily basis.
She has acted for some of the UK’s leading companies, and is comfortable in handling complex interdict and breach of interdict actions, dilapidation claims, contamination of land disputes, and issues relating to recovery of heritable property and access rights. She also has extensive experience advising clients on their legal position in removing undesirables from their land as well as general landlord and tenant disputes. Carolyn is committed to resolving disputes quickly and regularly uses the Commercial Courts, where available.
Carolyn is a member of the Property Litigation Association and is a regular presenter at seminars for fellow solicitors and other professionals throughout the country.
Outside of the office, Carolyn enjoys playing golf, tennis, running and socialising with friends.
