Carol joined Biggart Baillie in 2006 as Corporate Tax Associate. She has considerable experience in corporate tax matters with a particular interest in VAT and the taxation aspects of mergers and acquisitions. She also advises on Share Incentive Schemes.
Carol has acted for a wide variety of clients including both quoted and unquoted companies, local authorities and UK registered charities. Examples include:-
- advising East Park on VAT in relation to the redevelopment of East Park School;
- advising on the tax aspects of the £4m MBO of Nessco Group;
- advising Sandyholm Garden Centre on the tax aspects of the sale to Dobbies Garden Centres for £8m;
In addition to being a qualified solicitor, Carol is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, and the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
