Alan is an associate within our banking and finance team. He acts for clients on a broad range of matters and transactions, including bilateral and syndicated loans, property finance, asset finance, acquisition finance, project finance, structured finance and securitisation, banking regulation, equipment leasing, banking product development and documentation and debt restructuring.
He acts for many of the main UK based funders including Bank of Scotland, Clydesdale Bank, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander and a number of foreign banks, building societies and bridging finance providers. Alan also advises borrowers in connection with their banking arrangements, with particular experience in the hotels and property development sectors.
Recent transactions have included acting for Clydesdale Bank in the £16million refinancing of a Scottish restaurant chain, acting for Apex Hotels Limited in the restructuring of their banking facilities and acting for the Co-operative Bank in connection with the funding of the development of two new high profile hotels in Glasgow.
