Tribunal Rules in Favour of 'Too Young' Employee

In a recent landmark decision, an Employment Tribunal ruled in favour of a 20 year old employee on the basis that she had been discriminated against on the grounds of her age.  The employee was a secretary, employed by the Eight Members Club, in London. When her employment was terminated she was told that she was “too young”.

any people look on age discrimination as offering protection for older workers however, this case has reaffirmed that age discrimination applies to all ages and that young people have as much protection as older people.
