5 New Associates at Biggart Baillie

Leading Scottish law firm, Biggart Baillie LLP, is reinforcing its commitment to future growth with the internal promotion of 5 new associates across the firm from 1st July 2011.

Biggart Baillie Promotions 2011:
Alan Glen is promoted to Associate within the Banking team in the Edinburgh office. Alan joined the banking team as an assistant in July 2008 and has since developed a strong reputation with clients as an excellent banking lawyer with very strong technical skills allied to a sound commercial judgement.
Within Dispute Management, Lindsay Ogunyemi is promoted to Associate in the Glasgow office. Lindsay joined Biggart Baillie as a trainee and since qualifying Lindsay has specialised in professional negligence and corporate and commercial litigation.
Jessel Gair is promoted to Associate within our Planning and Environmental team. Jessel joined the firm in 2007 and advises clients on a variety of planning issues, including: planning applications, appeals and public inquiries, CPO and compensation, regeneration, brownfield redevelopment and renewable energy projects. Jessel has a masters degree in urban and regional planning and is a legal associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute
Catherine Hart is promoted to Associate. Catherine has been with Biggart Baillie since 2007 and in that time has developed the Professional Support Lawyer role within Dispute Management. Catherine’s role encompasses a wide variety of tasks, including training, knowledge management and assisting with business development. Catherine also tutors in both Civil Practice and Business Ethics, Finance and Practice Awareness on the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at Glasgow University.
Barbara Stewart is promoted to Associate within our employment team in Glasgow. Barbara trained with the firm and joined the employment team once qualified. Barbara advises clients on a variety of employment issues as well as assisting in preparation for tribunals and other court hearings.
