Biggart Baillie LLP - From Strength to Strength

Monday, August 02, 2010

Leading Scottish law firm, Biggart Baillie, is pleased to announce that Carole Ferguson joined the firm on 16th August as a partner in the Dispute Management department, specialising in corporate health and safety matters.

Carole, currently with Ledingham Chalmers in Aberdeen, has extensive experience in a wide range of aspects of corporate crime and in health and safety law including advising directors in personal and business critical situations

Carole is also a qualified English Barrister and delivers specialist commercial and criminal health and safety advice to clients in the construction, insurance, manufacturing, marine, transport and chemical industries.

Carole’s appointment makes a new level of expertise available to Biggart Baillie’s clients and significantly enhances Biggart Baillie’s services in this important and growing area of the firm’s business.

Alasdair Peacock, Managing Partner comments, “I am delighted that Carole is joining Biggart Baillie. The increase in criminal and other regulatory sanctions across all business sectors means that compliance and corporate defence issues have been moving rapidly up the boardroom agenda, not least because this can often lead to personal liability for directors.”
