Biggart Baillie, the leading Scottish law firm, today announces the appointment of Murray Shaw as its new Chairman and Senior Partner. Murray will formally succeed David Ross, the outgoing Chairman and Senior Partner, on 1 January 2009.  

Murray, who has been a partner at Biggart Baillie for over 20 years, is regarded one of the country’s leading planning lawyers and is accredited by the Law Society as specialist in Planning and Building Contract Law.

Making the announcement, outgoing Biggart Baillie Chairman and Senior Partner David Ross stated that, "We are delighted with the appointment of Murray Shaw as the firm’s new Chairman and Senior Partner.
