The Problem:
Clients wished to oppose a major water industry development with a view to persuading the Council to refuse planning permission. As a local group they had limited access to funds.
The Solution:
In view of the limited funds we needed to identify key issues and how best to address these in making objections. Having identified these issues clients were advised of what additional expertise was required and how this might be obtained. Given the high profile nature of the project it was necessary to ensure consistency between the press campaign and the formal objections lodged.
The Outcome:
Planning permission was refused as a result of objections made. Ultimately a revised scheme came forward which at least addressed some of the objections.
